More on Ronaldo coming to NY

Ronaldo, the star of the 2002 world champion Brazil, has spoken to representatives of the New York Red Bulls about the possibility of playing for the MLS team, BigAppleSoccer.com has learned.
It sounds like there are ways around the salary cap - and the article makes a good point in that, by moving to the US, Ronaldo would open up enter a whole new arena of lucrative endorsement deals.
